Integration

Google Calendar integration for an aesthetic clinic

The clinic connects Google Calendar once and appointments start syncing. The screen shows the connection state and the last sync, lets you sync on demand and disconnect whenever you want.

The system's calendar remains the source of truth. Google is there so whoever already lives in their phone calendar sees the same appointment without opening another screen.

  • Explicit per-clinic connection, authorised by you
  • Connection state and last sync visible
  • Sync on demand whenever you want to check
  • Its own queue: a momentary failure is reprocessed
  • A connection stalled over 24 h becomes an operations metric
  • Disconnecting is one click, with no support ticket

Queue-based sync, not at the moment of the click

Each change joins a sync queue and is processed in the background. That is deliberate: a Google outage must not block reception from booking or make the client wait at the counter.

The connection stays visible, including when it fails

The screen shows whether it is connected and when it last synced. A connection going over 24 hours without syncing counts as stalled in platform observability — the problem shows up before someone complains about a wrong slot.

One source of truth, not two

The rules stay in the system's calendar: service duration, qualified professional, room and the gap between appointments. Google reflects the appointment; it does not decide whether it fits.

What the integration does not do

Real limits:

  • It does not replace the system's calendar: validation stays on this side
  • It does not sync at the instant of the click — the queue processes in the background
  • It does not integrate Outlook, iCloud or any other calendar
  • It needs a per-clinic authorised connection; without authorisation nothing is read or written

Frequently asked

Questions about Google Calendar

If I create an event straight in Google, does it become an appointment?

The system's calendar is what validates professional, room and duration. Google reflects what exists here — which is why the reliable flow is booking in the system.

What if Google goes down?

Booking keeps working. The sync stays in the queue and is reprocessed; a connection stalled over a day shows up as a metric.

Can I disconnect?

Yes. Disconnecting is available on the same screen, at any time and without going through support.

Connect the calendar your team already uses

Authorise once and follow the connection state on the screen itself.
